1. Keep the Cylinder Upright

Gas cylinders must always be positioned upright.
Laying cylinders on their side increases instability and significantly raises the risk of gas leakage.

2. Ensure Proper Ventilation

Gas cylinders should never be kept in:

  • Enclosed cabinets

  • Tight corners

  • Poorly ventilated indoor spaces

Adequate airflow helps disperse leaked gas and reduces the risk of dangerous gas buildup.

3. Keep Away from Heat Sources

Cylinders should be placed far from stoves, burners, open flames, and other heat sources.
Excess heat can weaken the cylinder body and increase internal pressure, leading to failure or explosion.

4. Check for Leaks Gently

Never use fire to test for gas leaks.
Instead:

  • Apply soapy water around the valve, regulator, and hose connections

  • The appearance of bubbles indicates a leak

If a leak is detected, turn off the gas immediately and seek professional assistance.

5. Use Approved Hoses and Regulators

Avoid substandard or uncertified accessories.
Only approved and certified hoses and regulators should be used to ensure:

  • Controlled gas flow

Inspect hoses and regulators regularly.

  • Cracked or hardened hoses
